Relationship Manager (Commercial Lender)

Summary:
This position leads the underwriting, structuring, and closing of commercial and corporate credit facilities as well as maintaining and expanding existing relationships. The position has major responsibility in business development, credit analysis, and portfolio quality.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support the bank's strong relationship banking culture through on-going customer contact, quality customer service, and superior product knowledge.
• Interacts with customers to service new and existing business.
• Compiles all information and data necessary to properly document loan applications and prepare loan packets for review.
• Prepares credit recommendations/write-ups based on analysis of financial performance & condition, collateral adequacy, and borrower experience
• Coordinates the underwriting and processing of participations in commercial real estate, agribusiness, and other industry for medium to large business customers. Completes financial statement spreads as appropriate
• Services existing portfolio to cross-sell additional products and services, prepare renewals, and eliminate exceptions.
• Prices new loans according to policy with appropriate originations and fees.
• Documents terms and conditions of repayment.
• Assists with collections and disposition of reposed assets as needed.
• Carries out responsibilities with professionalism, respect for others, in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

Organizational Structure:
Reports to: Chief Credit Officer
Supervises: 0 – 2 Loan Assistants
Qualifications:
Knowledge/Skills:
- Four year degree required in accounting, finance, or business.
- Graduate studies in banking or related field preferred.
- 1 – 3 years in credit underwriting for Commercial, & Real Estate lending preferred.
- Knowledgeable in banking operations.
