Transferring your accounts to TransPecos Bank is easy!
Our Transferring Accounts process makes switching to TransPecos Bank simple and painless. Just follow these steps to close your old accounts and transfer your balances to your new accounts at TransPecos Banks.
Simple Steps to moving your checking account:
- Open a new account at TransPecos Banks.
- Stop using your old account. Let all your checks clear. This can take some time, up to 10 days. Destroy unused checks on this account, ATM and debit cards and deposit slips.
- Change all your direct deposits. Below you will find a form that you can fill out and give to the originator of your direct deposit (Social Security Administration, your employer, etc.) In the process of making one of these
- Change any automatic payments. Again, provided below is a form that is used for changing automatic withdrawals or auto-debit payments.
- Remember to change any online accounts that use the old account for automatic payments.
- Close your old account. We have even provided a notice that you can send to your old bank to close your account. Once all your checks have cleared you can send the bank this form and they will send you a check for the balance in the account.
